Research Services

At Tree of Life Genealogy, we provide two types of research and education services: traditional genealogy research, and genealogy education.

Genealogy Research

For traditional genealogy research, we will conduct research and write a report for you with our findings. In addition to the standard online genealogy databases, we have access to and experience with numerous lesser-known resources, both online and offline.


We charge $50 an hour for research and writing, with a minimum commitment of eight hours. Please contact us so that we can discuss your research questions and give you an estimate.

Online Genealogy Education

Do you want to do your own research, but you're stuck after looking at the basic ancestry websites? Do you want to learn how to get more out of your research? Then this is a great option for you. We'll take a look at your research and see what you have, then meet with you online and show you how to find more information, or how to learn more from what you've already found.


We can walk you through how to interpret your DNA results, or how to make the jump from looking at American records to finding records from Europe. We can help you learn how to critically read the documents that you've already found: there's often much more information than it would appear at first glance.


We charge $50 an hour for online education. Please contact us so that we can help you!
